Who we are

AlignBefore is an iPhone app for contractors made by LeadingLocal LLC (Jeremiah Svaren, owner). “AlignBefore,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean LeadingLocal LLC. “You” means a person who uses the app or visits this website.

The short version

The AlignBefore app keeps your work on your phone. It needs no account, has no server of its own, and does not upload your photos or jobs to us. We receive purchase information from Apple, information you choose to send us, and anonymous app usage events. This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and improve its pages, including analytics cookies and browser and device information. We do not receive your photos, job names, addresses, business name, or logo from the app. If you choose Share or Save, the items you select go to the destination you choose. We do not sell data, and we show no ads.

Information we collect

Kept on your phone, never sent to us:

• Photos you take in the app
• Jobs, shots, and job addresses
• Your logo and your settings

These live on your iPhone in the app’s own storage. We cannot see them. If you delete the app, they are removed with it.

Sent by the app, anonymously, so we can improve it:

• Which features get used, for example that a job was started, a photo was saved, or a before and after was shared
• Which buttons are tapped (the button’s internal name only, never what you type)
• When the app is opened or closed
• Your phone model, iOS version, app version, and language
• A random ID the app makes, which RevenueCat also uses to keep track of your purchases

These events never include your photos, job names, addresses, business name, logo, or anything you type. They go to PostHog, our analytics provider. PostHog is set to discard your phone’s internet address, so it cannot work out where you are.

Received from Apple when you buy something:

• Anonymous App Store transaction identifiers
• Subscription status (active, lapsed, refunded)
• The country of your App Store account, for tax purposes

Apple does not share your name, email, or Apple Account with us. Apple bills you. We never see your payment method.

Provided by you if you contact us:

• Your name, email address, trade, and what you write when you email [email protected] or ask to join the beta

Collected by this website (alignbefore.com):

• Standard server logs at Cloudflare for security (internet address, time, page requested, browser), kept no longer than 30 days
• Your light or dark appearance choice, if you change it, is saved locally in your browser. It is not sent to us.
• Google Analytics 4 measures website visits and interactions, including pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device information, and approximate geographic information. Its first-party cookies help distinguish visitors and sessions. This website analytics is separate from the app’s PostHog analytics and does not give us access to your app photos or jobs.
• If a website contact or beta form is enabled and you submit it, Web3Forms forwards your name, email, selected trade or topic, optional iPhone model, and message to our support inbox. Email buttons instead open your own mail app. The service you choose to email or share through has its own privacy practices.

What we do not collect

• No location, contacts, calendar, microphone audio, or health data. If you let the app use your location, it only fills in the job’s address on your phone. It is not sent to us.
• The app does not collect advertising identifiers. We show no ads.
• No photos, job details, or anything you type in the app is sent to us.
• No app account, email, or password is required. A website beta request or support message does provide the information you choose to send.

How we use what we do receive

• Run your purchase: confirm it, restore it on a new phone, and unlock Free, Pro, or Founders.
• Reply to you at the email you wrote from.
• Improve the app by seeing which features get used and where people get stuck.
• Improve the website by understanding which pages people visit and how they reach the site.

We do not use any data to build profiles, train AI models, or target advertising.

We do not share data with any advertising network, data broker, or anyone outside this list.

Children

AlignBefore is built for working contractors and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Your rights and choices

You can:

• Delete everything in the app by deleting the app. On your iPhone: Settings, General, iPhone Storage, AlignBefore, Delete App.
• Cancel your subscription any time. On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
• Ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Block or clear cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing or request a copy of your information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

How long we keep things

• In the app: as long as the app is installed. Removed when you delete it.
• App Store transaction data: as long as accounting rules and Apple’s records require.
• Support emails: as long as needed to resolve the issue, typically up to 2 years.
• Website logs: 30 days.
• Website analytics: retained according to the Google Analytics property’s data retention settings. Analytics cookies have their own expiration dates, which can also be limited by your browser.

Security

We rely on the iPhone’s app sandbox for what is on your phone, Apple’s secure channels for payments, and HTTPS for this website. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you and we have your email, we will tell you.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and post a note in the next app release or on this page. Using the app after a change means you accept the new version.
