Plain-language terms. These are the rules for using AlignBefore today. A lawyer will review them before the public launch. Questions: [email protected].

Agreement to these terms

By installing or using the AlignBefore app, or by buying a subscription or the Founders offer inside it, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These terms are between you and LeadingLocal LLC (“AlignBefore,” “we,” “us”), the company that makes and publishes the app. They apply alongside the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions that already govern your App Store account.

The service

AlignBefore is an iPhone app that helps contractors take before and after photos that line up, keep them in jobs, and share finished before and afters. Your photos and jobs stay on your iPhone. There are no accounts and no storage on our side.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, pause, or end any feature, including paid plans, with reasonable notice.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding contract, and not barred by law from using the app. AlignBefore is meant for business use by contractors and similar trades.

Plans, subscriptions, and the Founders offer

AlignBefore is sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles all billing, refunds, and subscription management.

Free. You can use the camera, the layouts, and sharing at no charge, with the job limit and the small AlignBefore mark described in the app.

Pro. $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year. Subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple Account at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Prices may differ by country to match Apple’s local pricing.

Founders Lifetime. A one-time purchase of $99 USD that unlocks Pro for as long as the app exists. It is limited to the first 100 customers and cannot be transferred. Once 100 spots are claimed, the offer closes for good. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Renewals and cancellation. Auto-renewing subscriptions charge your Apple Account at each renewal date. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. We cannot refund you directly because we never receive your payment.

Free trials and offers. If a free trial or special price is ever offered, its length and the price after it are shown in the app before you buy. If you do not cancel before a trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple Account is charged.

Your photos and content

You keep all rights to the photos, logo, and other content you make in AlignBefore. Everything stays on your phone, so you control it directly. See our Privacy Policy for the little we do receive (App Store transaction data, support emails, anonymous usage events).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or pull source code out of the app, except where the law allows it.
• Use AlignBefore to take, keep, or share pictures of people without their consent where local law requires it.
• Make fraudulent purchases, tamper with receipts, or share offer codes outside their intended use.
• Use the app to harass, defame, or harm others, or to break any law.
• Resell the app or pass it off as your own service.

We may remove the Founders entitlement from any purchase we reasonably believe was obtained through fraud or chargeback.

Our property

The AlignBefore app, its code, branding, copy, and look belong to us. Layout artwork built into the app is licensed for use in the before and afters you make with it, for your own business. You may not redistribute it on its own.

If you add your logo, it is placed on your pictures on your phone. We never receive it.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every defect will be fixed.

Because your data stays on your phone, you are responsible for keeping a backup of any photos you want to keep. Save finished before and afters to Photos. If your phone or its data is lost, we cannot recover it.

Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the app or these terms is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $50 USD. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost profits, business, or data.

Some places do not allow these limits. There, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Ending things

You can stop using AlignBefore at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any active subscription. We may suspend or end your access for a serious breach of these terms.

Sections that by their nature should outlast this agreement (our property, no warranty, limit on liability, governing law) survive termination.

Apple-specific terms

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to support the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. If the app fails to meet a warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. If someone claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Apple is not responsible for handling that claim.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Utah, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to sue where you live.

Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes that matter will show here with a new date at the top and, where appropriate, a note in the next app release. Using the app after a change means you accept the new version.
